As an intern, you will dedicate your
first years to seriously studying the language, and then, as soon as
possible, you can begin helping in different types of ministries,
receiving practical training.
Receive hands-on ministry training through PAZ Japan internships
You’ll get a good taste of the adventurous life of a missionary and the challenges that it brings. Most importantly, you will see God at work and be a part of it. You'll discover gifts and traits in you valuable to missions work, and God will confront you in ways that will leave you changed forever.

Whether you're interested in helping for just a summer or for the long-haul, whether you know what God has called you to do or you're still searching, whether you have much experience in missions or simply a heart to serve, PAZ Japan offers short-term missions opportunities and interships to those who want to serve and are approved.
You can join PAZ Japan as a short-term missionary for 2 weeks to 6 months. During this time, you will be involved in a variety of ministries—from joining service and outreach teams , helping with homeschooling, and assisting long-term missionaries where needed (like projects, administration, etc).
Be a part of the PAZ Japan team through short-term missions
You’ll get to work and play side-by-side with other PAZ Japan missionaries and Japanese brothers and sisters. Over and over again we have seen the Lord accomplish wonderful things in and through our volunteers, changing hearts forever.
Japan is one of the largest unreached people-groups in the world, since only about 0.3 percent of the population are evangelical Christians. With a strong emphasis on small groups and personal one-to-one discipleship, our PAZ Japan goal is to train church-planters to be sent out to different areas of Japan, and also to other countries. In addition to the work in Japan, we are reaching out to Muslims in Indonesia.
More than a desire to serve, a PAZ Japan missionary should also have clear direction from the Lord. A healthy relationship with the Lord and desire to grow personally will be needed to endure the many new and challenging aspects of Japan. But a PAZ Japan missionary also has the joy of being in the middle of God’s amazing work, and even being the means by which God works.
Join the PAZ Japan Missions family through long-term missions
Long-term missionaries must balance the life of family, missions (work with the missions organization PAZ Japan) and ministry (being a part of a local PAZ Japan church and involved in cell groups and discipleship—M.D.A.). Some roles with PAZ Japan lean more heavily towards missions, and others toward ministry.
PAZ Japan missionaries are sustained on the mission field by the prayers and financial gifts of their supporting churches, family and friends. Each missionary is required to raise their own prayer and financial support prior to coming to Japan. Unless you already speak Japanese, language school will also be required. A further requirement for new missionary applicants is a short-term missions experience with PAZ Japan.
